Pre-Event Dining at A. Venue

Hip Hop Royale- Saturday (Nov 7th 2009)

What you doing this weekend?

If you don't have anythang planned, I suggest you and your friends come out and par-taay up at the A. Venue Events Hall .

Why?

Haven't you peeped the post about "Never Hesitate?" The flick is an entry in a Hiphop [sic] Royale competition that's gonna be decided that night. Plus I said so.

I don't really go out much so I plan to make an evening of it.

Fresh to death in some new sneaks. Blunted up certainly.

Then I plan to get my grub on at some establishment at A. Venue. I've never eaten 'round those parts but luckily I was able to find a list of restaurants at A. Venue on the interwebs.

There's Burger Avenue which looks like it pretty much stays true to its name. They've got a gimmick, a "Ridiculous Challenge" which is to finish their "Ridiculous Burger" in five minutes and have it on the house. The dude Sago blogged about it and even has a link to a promotional video.

There's Capone's Bistro, which has another branch on Meralco which I've been to(I'm mistaking this for Bugsy's). It's more of a drinking spot but word on the screets is that they have killer buffalo chicken wings. which I've never been to.

There's an Italian joint called Focaccia, another Italian spot called Padrino (whose logo uses the Godfather font), and a place called Sicilian Express.

There's a German grill called Gasthof that boasts "Baby Back Ribs" as one of its specialties.

Another restaurant also has ribs as its specialty, an eatery called Plate & Yummy Asian Restaurant, they have a "Yummy T-Bone Steak" and a "Yummy Baby Back Ribs."

Then there's Texas BBQ Bar and Restaurant whose specialties include "Chicken Wings, Cajun Shrimp, Ribeye Steak and BBQ Ribs."

The most interesting ribs dish seems to be served by Zenses Neo-Shanghai Cuisine, which has “Strawberry Ribs with Coriander” on its menu.

More traditional Asian fare seems to be found at Shing Dang Dong (a Koren bulgogi spot) and Suta Meshi (a Japanese restaurant).

I'm gonna make an on the spot decision when I'm there on Saturday but right now I'm leaning towards the Texas BBQ spot or Zenses.

Please comment and let a dude know if you're wise to any of these places. If not I'll give you the low down next week.

I'm Audi 5000!
